CAREERS AT D.F. BOILER

Making a Better Life.
One Career at a Time.

For 29 years, D.F. Boiler Tube Industries has learned that people are our greatest asset. We succeed when our people succeed, which is why we believe in being open, honest and committed to helping our team grow.

Whether you’re an experienced tradesperson looking for your next step or someone searching for an amazing start through an apprenticeship, we want to hear from people who are reliable, willing to learn and proud of the work they do.

WHY WORK HERE

Our People Are Our Greatest Asset

At D.F. Boiler Tube Industries, we believe that building a strong company starts with building up the people behind it. Our culture is rooted in teamwork, honesty, safety, continuous learning and respect. We’re committed to creating a workplace that supports diversity, equity and inclusion while giving people opportunities to build skills that last.

Work With Variety

Shop fabrication, field service, scheduled shutdowns and emergency callouts – not the same task every shift.

Learn From Experienced Tradespeople

Journeypersons who teach, tickets that get supported and certifications kept current on company time.

Safety Before Speed

Stop-work authority applies to everyone, including you on your first week. Nobody is penalized for using it.

Shop and Field Experience

Low turnover means the people training you know the equipment and the customers well.

Training That Builds Your Career

Boilers need service in every season. Our work does not disappear when a project wraps up.

Skills That Stay With You

Pressure welding, code repair and boiler diagnostics are qualifications the whole industry recognizes.

APPRENTICESHIPS

An Amazing Start Begins With the Right Team

Looking to start a skilled-trades career? An apprenticeship with D.F. Boiler Tube gives you the opportunity to learn alongside experienced tradespeople through supervised, hands-on work. You’ll build practical skills, learn our safety and quality expectations and gradually take on more responsibility as your experience grows.

Depending on your role and apprenticeship period, your experience may include:

  • Working alongside experienced journeypersons
  • Shop fabrication and pressure-component work
  • Exposure to field service and shutdown requirements
  • Reading drawings, specifications and job documentation
  • Learning safe-work procedures and quality expectations
  • Taking on more responsibility as your skills develop

No experience yet? That is what an apprenticeship is for.

We look for reliability, a willingness to learn and comfort with physical work. Join the pool even if your resume is short, tell us why you want the trade, and we will reach out when we next take on apprentices.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Experience Helps. How You Work Matters More.

Tickets and experience tell us what you’re qualified to do. Your attitude, reliability and approach to working with others tell us what you’ll bring to the team.

We value people who demonstrate:

Missing a particular ticket? You can still introduce yourself. If your experience and attitude fit what we need, we can discuss what additional training may be required.

THE TALENT POOL

No Current Opening? Introduce Yourself Anyway.

Our hiring follows the work. A shutdown lands, a customer books a retube, someone retires. Rather than post and scramble, we keep a pool of qualified tradespeople and apprentices we can call.

Tell us what you do, what tickets you hold and what you are looking for. When the work comes up, the pool is the first place we look.

HOW THE POOL WORKS

In the Pool, Not in a Black Hole

STEP 01

Send it in

Submit your resume and any tickets, and tell us which trade you are after. No posting required.

STEP 02

We add you to the pool

A real person reads it and confirms we have you on file. You hear back either way.

STEP 03

We call when work comes up

When a crew needs filling or an apprenticeship opens, we go to the pool before we post publicly.

STEP 04

Shop visit and start

A conversation, a walk through the facility, then orientation and your first assignment with the crew.

Join Our Talent Pool

You do not need an open posting to reach us. Send your resume and tickets and we will keep you on file – when the work comes up, the pool is the first place we look. If you are after an apprenticeship, a short note about why you want the trade is worth more than a long resume.
